Boxing glove sizes are measured in ounces (oz). A higher ounce rating generally means more padding and a greater level of impact protection. Smaller sizes are commonly used by children and for technical training, while heavier gloves are often preferred for regular training and sparring.

How to care for your boxing gloves

Allow your boxing gloves to air dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated area after every training session. Do not leave them inside a closed gym bag or another enclosed space for long periods. Avoid direct sunlight and do not place the gloves on a radiator, as excessive heat may damage the materials.

The inside of the gloves can occasionally be treated with a textile disinfectant and then left to dry completely. If necessary, gently wipe the outer surface with a damp cloth. Never machine wash boxing gloves.

For improved hygiene, additional hand and wrist support, and a longer glove lifespan, we recommend using boxing hand wraps. Hand wraps absorb a significant amount of sweat, help stabilise the bones and joints of the hand and wrist, and reduce moisture absorption inside the gloves.
